Who is God?

God is one. “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.” Deuteronomy 6:4

The Father is God. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:3

The Son is God. “And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.” 1 John 5:20

The Holy Spirit is God. “But Peter said, ‘Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land…You have not lied to men but to God.’” Acts 5:3-4

God is eternal. “The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms.” Deuteronomy 33:27

God is creator. “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1

God is the Judge. “There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy.” James 4:12
